I usually buy MAC eyeshadows (neutral colors), but I was wanting to branch out try out colors that weren't so neutral and didn't want to spend a fortune on shadows that I might've not liked. I saw this palette and was interested in all the bright colors, but I was worried by how cheap it was (in my experience, cheap = bad quality usually). With it being so cheap, figured I didn't have much to lose though. I haven't tried out all the colors, but the ones I've tried so far I'm impressed with. They're very pigmented (maybe not as much as MAC, but for the price they can't be beat), go on nicely/blend well, and stay throughout the day. I should mention I do use the Urban Decay primer potion in Eden before applying it, as I do with all the eyeshadows I use so I can't comment how well the shadows do without a primer. I'm still shocked I spent less than $15 for (a LOT of) good quality eyeshadows. Highly recommend this palette, whether you're just starting out with makeup and don't want to spend a lot of money, or you just want to add to your eyeshadow collection .

Exactly what I wanted

Prestige Mechanical Pencil Trance 0 01 Ounce

I usually have one makeup obsession per summer and last summer it was finding the right eyeliner. My eyeliners have always tended to smudge and run, until I come home from work only to find a horrified Alice Cooper type face looking back at me. I did some research by reading comments other women made on various websites that sell makeup and the Prestige name kept getting the thumbs up by users over and over again. I ordered this Prestige Mechanical Eye Pencil in Trance on Amazon, and I totally agree- it's the best eyeliner I've ever used. I have brown eyes, but love to wear blue eyeliner sometimes, and this "Trance" color is amazing. Since this order I've also bought black, dark and light brown colors, and always in the mechanical type- no more sharpening issues for me. You just twist it up and you're good to go. And the price can't be beat, or at least can't be beat by much. For me, this is the brand I plan to stick with- I get fantastic results because it stays in place all day.

Monster High Robecca Steam Doll

Robecca is my most recent Monster High purchase, and I adore her. She's very steampunk influenced, and I love the pieced-together scroll work all over her body.

I found my doll at a Meijer's, and I was shocked to see her in stock at all, and ever more shocked when I picked up the box and realized that I actually liked the design. I'd seen pictures online and even watched video reviews and just hadn't liked the doll. She looked over-designed in everything I'd seen of her. I loved the idea of her, but wasn't thrilled by the execution. I understood her to be a limited edition, fairly expensive doll, in any case, and assumed I'd never see her in person, so it didn't bother me too much, but when I did find her, I was very pleasantly surprised.

She's a much lighter color in person than the pictures show, and much less metallic. Her skin looks polished-bronze, not burnished bronze, which really lightens the whole doll up and makes her much easier to look at. Her costume and hair are both extremely dark blacks and blues, so having the warmer toned skin makes her easier on the eyes and much more visually appealing. Her boots, earrings and goggles are metallic copper, and that lightens up the darker hair and clothing, too. Her makeup was also slightly different than the pictures I had seen (although there is now a very accurate close up photo of Robecca's face that shows what I mean), which gave her a much softer, friendlier appearance than I had expected. Finally, I had thought I would hate the back-articulating knees on this doll. Since Robecca is an automaton, her knees can bend backward as well as the traditional front bend. I was pleasantly surprised when the reverse knee joints didn't bend as alarmingly sharply as I had expected, and actually just gave the doll an air of preparing to take off in flight (her boots are rockets that allow her to perform feats of aerial skill).

She's a really gorgeous doll in person, very detailed and quite well made, moreso than Operetta and Frankie, and she feels much sturdier than some of the Monster High dolls do. I don't have that niggling feeling she's going to break at any moment, like I do with some of the Dead Tired dolls. She's so detailed and well-made, and her theme is very fun. I definitely recommend her to anyone who can find her at shelf-price!

As an adult collector of the Monster High dolls, I was a little skeptical to the Ghouls Alive series.
What I've found is that typically when a toy maker starts adding electronics and whatnot to an established toy line, the quality drops. Well I'm glad to report that these did not follow that trend!

I kind of ping pong back and forth between Frankie and Clawdeen being my favorite in the Ghouls Alive series.
Unlike the other two, Frankie's outfit is just better designed and put together. Seems as though she was the original thought behind the series, so a bit more effort and thought went into her.

When she comes alive, a nice electrical 'buzz' and 'snap' is heard and her face and chest illuminate. The cool part is that you can see her rib cage (just like in the cartoons when someone gets electrocuted) right through her top.

Her paint job is immaculate, no complaint at all.

Like I said at the beginning of this review, I have a hard time choosing between Frankie and Clawdeen as being my favorite of the series. I think Clawdeen's movement is what makes her my favorite still...
Ghouls Alive Frankie is a great addition to the MH series, you won't be disappointed!

Monster High Alive Frankie Stein

As an adult collector of the Monster High dolls, I was a little skeptical to the Ghouls Alive series.

This is for people who don't like the Color Tattoo line because it's a cream. This is a powder set. What's nice about these is that the colors in this set go nicely for daytime use as well as for the evening as well. What I like about this set is that you can diversify your look by the use of the colors provided. You can go more natural (using the light colors) or sultry sexy (using the darker colors) all with the colors provided here. The light pink shade at the bottom is the basic lid color. The silver at the top is very glittery which is awesome because it's rare that you find this type of eyeshadow in a set like this. The purple triangle to the right is also very glittery, much like the silver at the top. Again, it's very rare to find this element of "glitter" in an eyeshadow set and I'd imagine it's mostly for evening wear, although I used it for daytime use as well. I'm not a big fan of quads or eyeshadow kits/sets but this one, by far, is my favorite that I've ever purchased. Highly recommended if you like pink/purple. I also recommend Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Explosion Luminizing Eyeshadow, Caffeine Rush 05, 0.09 Ounce as well if you like golds/browns.

I searched Amazon for a name brand mascara that I had used previously, and it displayed other mascaras that people had looked at along with the one I had searched for. This one which was about $10 less expensive, so I thought I would give it a try. The packaging and tube were very understated compared to the name brand, and I realized that I had inadvertently ordered Black/Brown instead of Black which I've always used in the past. I decided to keep it, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's just a shade lighter than black and probably looks a little more natural with my blonde hair. But the biggest surprise was how nicely it thickens my thin lashes with no clumping. Like the name brand mascara, it doesn't irritate my eyes, and it seems to stay on better than other one did, yet I can easily remove it with a tissue and water at the end of the day.

She Grew On Me

Monster Travel Scaris Skelita Calaveras

Skelita Calaveras the skeleton girl is one of the most beautiful Monster High dolls I have ever seen. It might not seem like a skull could be cute or sweet, but her expression and markings are completely charming.

Skelita has a different body than the other dolls, a true skeleton body. If you look at the posted review photos you can see she comes with a clear plastic body overlay under her clothes that helps keep her on her doll stand and gives her more of a figure under her dress. Her clothes are festive and fit her perfectly. If you look at the heels of her shoes and her belt you can see tiny impressions of skulls and flowers. Like the other deluxe Scaris dolls Skelita comes with a travel case - hers is bright pink with a skull on the front.

Skelita has a delicate quality, figuratively and literally. The tiny bones on her hands are a little bit flexible to help keep them from breaking. My doll came with one elbow bent into a pose, and the other arm does not want to bend - I do not want to force it. Her knees also are not bending for me, but I can overlook this as the lower legs rotate in the knee sockets and can achieve some neat poses.

Skelita's hair is fashioned into a high pony tail with orange highlights around her face that complement her very well. I will warn shoppers that I saw a Skelita doll in a retail store yesterday and her hair was an absolute rats nest. I have also seen where the paint of her nose has rubbed off onto the plastic of the box. If you can, buy her in person so you can look her over, and pay the retail price.

I am writing this from a collectors perspective, and Skelita is a beautiful, unique doll that I am very glad to own.

Great mascara

AINHOA Passion Mascara Volume Fluid

Most of the mascara I've tried will make my eyes itch bt the end of the night, but not AINHOA. This was most welcome and the biggest plus of this mascara.

It enhances my lashes nicely bringing attention to my eyes. I found I can layer it to extend add volume without for a more dramatic effect without creating a clumpy mess. The color was good for me and I welcomed the range of results I was able to create.

The container is a rather conventional silver tube similar Lanc�me Mascara I had before. It is nice to pack and the cap with the wand feels nice in the hand when applying. The brush on the wand has a curved shape with shorter bristles at the center and longer toward the ends. I think it is to fit the curve of the lash line, but I don't think it works as well as a simple taper would for me. I feel a taper design gives me better control when applying and seperating lashes.

When applying AINHOA Passion I found there was some tendency to clump, but overall it went on very easily and cleanly. The bit of clumping was easily seperated and cleaned-up. The end of the brush seems to come out of the tube with a little blob of mascara on the end. A little touch on a tissue easily removed this.

It lasted well for me. At the end of the night it was as nice as at the start. Removal was easy. I think it's just shy of perfect and that makes it one of the best I've used.

They're not blatant, but they are wonderful. I truly enjoyed reading it.

Nicholas is a New Zealand native who even as a child memorialized his late mother by dressing as her; now he performs cabaret, an outstanding singer who knows all the cultural icons and recreates them-and by the way, is a transvestite. Dubliner Freda (who prefers "Fred") is a slightly buxom and plumpish girl who conceals her prudishness and inferiority complexes behind a fa�ade of brashness and foul-mouthed sarcasm and humour. Amazingly, the two are "right for each other" (no matter how much one denies it), and what makes their story so special is the kind of honest people they are: realistic, empathetic, with unexpected depths, highs and lows, tensions, and the gamut of emotions humans can fall prey to. They're four-dimensional, really, not just the usual three-dimensional; and certainly not the routine two-dimensional fiction (and life) sometimes prefers. I highly recommend this novel. (18+, of course)

With a new sexy neighbor whom she's very interested in and the help of an annoyingly persistent faery, she's able to transform herself into the woman she's always wanted to be. Gordon is a man any woman would desire - he's sexy, dominant and his family is extremely important to him. You just have to love a man who feels guilt for missing a family gathering. This is the perfect book to curl up. Definitely a keeper.

Best remover!

LED Photon Beauty Light Rejuvenation

Using a super waterproof mascara (Isehan Kiss Me Heroine mascara), I really need a remover that will do the trick quickly and efficiently with minimal tugging, pulling or rubbing. I've heard good things about L'Oreal's Clean Artiste makeup remover specifically for waterproof makeup, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was really surprised to find just how fantastic this remover really is!

To be honest, after trying my old standbys of coconut oil, sweet almond oil and Pond's Cold Cream to remove my stubborn mascara, I wasn't holding out a lot of hope, so being pleasantly surprised at the Clean Artiste's effectiveness is an understatement. While the Pond's did work, I still had to do more rubbing than I'd like, but not with this stuff.

To use this remover all I do is make sure to shake the bottle well since the oils settle onto the surface of the liquid. Then I apply a bit to a cotton ball, and hold it onto my eye for about 15 seconds before wiping my waterproof eye makeup away.

The only drawback to this product is the bottle. I have no idea why, but it has one of those screw-on caps that I liken to a childproof medication pill bottle. You have to press down on the top first in order to remove it. LOreal Paris Artiste Remover Waterproof

Using a super waterproof mascara (Isehan Kiss Me Heroine mascara), I really need a remover that will do the trick quickly and efficiently with minimal tugging, pulling or rubbing. I've heard good things about L'Oreal's Clean Artiste makeup remover specifically for waterproof makeup, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was really surprised to find just how fantastic this remover really is!

To be honest, after trying my old standbys of coconut oil, sweet almond oil and Pond's Cold Cream to remove my stubborn mascara, I wasn't holding out a lot of hope, so being pleasantly surprised at the Clean Artiste's effectiveness is an understatement. While the Pond's did work, I still had to do more rubbing than I'd like, but not with this stuff.

To use this remover all I do is make sure to shake the bottle well since the oils settle onto the surface of the liquid. Then I apply a bit to a cotton ball, and hold it onto my eye for about 15 seconds before wiping my waterproof eye makeup away.

The only drawback to this product is the bottle. I have no idea why, but it has one of those screw-on caps that I liken to a childproof medication pill bottle. You have to press down on the top first in order to remove it. Dior Diorskin Natural Hydrating Makeup

I can't say enough how much I love this foundation. I never in my life thought I'd buy a foundation is this expensive. But then Sephora gave me a sample and from there I was hooked. I'd guess I've bought 10 bottles of the foundation and my love has never changed.
First of all, I'm pale, blonde hair, blue eyes. I have some minor/mild acne, larger pores on my nose, light freckles, a few acne scars, slight dark spots under my eyes when I don't sleep enough, etc. Overall my skin isn't terrible but it's far from perfect. Once I hit 25 I started wearing foundation every day. Being the makeup junkie that I am I think I've tried most foundations whether from a drugstore or department store. I never found anything I loved. The problems I have with most are: the color is never right (most are too yellow), coverage is either too much and looks caked on or is too light and doesn't hide my blemishes, I can "feel" the makeup, or it makes me break out.
This does NONE OF THAT! The consistency is very thin and light but the coverage is perfect. You can't see any of my freckles, my pores are hidden, so are the scars and any current acne. My skin always appears flawless! I get so many comments on my perfect skin. I can't feel the makeup at all once it's on. It's goes on smoothly (use a foundation brush for even coverage and you'll waste less). It's never caused me to break out at all.
I use the shade 020 during winter and during the summer if I've tanned at all I step it up to 021. But go to a store and actually test it out. Colors online aren't a good representation.
Even after buying this I've tried to buy other brands to save money in hopes that I could find the same results but I've never found anything that compares.
It's 100% worth the money if you want flawless looking skin. But know that some places have it for less that on here.

I received this product through the Vine Program as I wanted to try a deep cleansing scrub. I don't wear heavy mnakeup and am out doors a lot with golf and other activities. My face seemed to need a face scrub and wanted to give this a try. After I remove my makeup in the evenings I use just a small dab of this scrub on each side of my face. I work the scrub in and around my nove and mouth keeping it away from my eyes. It has a small blue bead and I can feel the scrub working as I move slowly around my face. You get a very clean feel and a simple wash off your face with water and you feel refreshed. My skin has aged with wrinkles and grooves from my 87 years of sometimes neglect. This scrub leaves it soft and refreshed. With just a small dab of face lotion it keeps my face feeling clean and soft.

SHANY Natural Fusion Eyeshadow Palette

I purchased this palette directly from Shany Cosmetics online, though it is available at a reasonable price through Amazon (with free shipping if Prime member). I read a lot of reviews of Shany products and purchased this and other palettes by this company. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and pigmentation for the price. Many YouTube makeup tutorials use more expensive lines, but found a few using Shany products. Here are some of my main impressions. For your reference, I am very light skinned and 40-something. This is for my personal use. I am in no way a makeup artist, but am enjoying becoming one with my Shany products.
Pros:
Highly pigmented--a little on your brush for most shades goes a long way.
Great variety: very neutral tones in browns, orange/peach, grays, and violets with highlighting shades. Shimmer and matte both go on great.Using the right brush, darker colors can be used as liner as well as contour shades.
Inexpensive--1 shade of MAC costs almost as much as a whole 88-shade palette. Many will prefer MAC, but I can't afford it on student loans.
Blending---very nice complementary shades that blend nicely with an appropriate brush. You can hardly mess up with the tones provided.
No creasing/good staying power---I always use a shadow primer, so I don't know how well the colors last without one, but with a primer, the colors stay on all day for me and do not crease. I do have drier 40-something skin, so I am not sure about creasing with those with oily lids
Packaging: Come in a nice, shiny black plastic case with a beautiful gold-embossed logo that is easy to open but fastens shut
Litte fall-out: Using a primer and eyeshadow brushes, I have had little problems with the color falling all over my cheeks.
Environmentally aware: Website states they use some recycled products in their packaging.
Cons:
Pan size: Pans are about the size of a dime. However, there are so many colors and they are so pigmented, I am sure there is plenty there to last a long time.
Palette size: It is rather large and bulky. Unless you carry a very big purse, transportation may be an issue if you are using this for your every day look.
Origin: Though they are shipped from the U.S., the package says "made in China". I am not sure exactly where the product is made.
Fragile: I haven't dropped my palette or tried to transport it far, but some reviewers stated that when they dropped their palette, many colors broke. Just be careful.
Very neutral: This palette is mostly browns, purples, oranges, greys, and highlight colors. There is no green or blue (one brown has a green tone to it)

Overall I LOVE Shany's shadow palettes. I like the variety, the blendability, the pigmentation, and the price. I have a sensitivity to colors with red, but my eyes have had no problems with any of the tints/dyes used. I have also tried BH cosmetics shadows, and they are very good also, but I prefer the texture of Shany. They are a smaller company and have been pleased with the customer service. I ordered three palettes from them, they forgot to send me one of the palettes, so they shipped it out the next day. Everything came perfectly bubble-wrapped in a box both times. If you order $50 worth from the company, it is free shipping and they send you full-size samples. I got 4 shades of eye shadow, an eyeliner, and a lip gloss. If you want to try them out and have Amazon Prime, the price is good on Amazon and you get free shipping. I recommend anyone on a budget to try this line of shadow. It is of good quality and much better than those cheap eyeshadow packages your mom always gets you for Christmas that were on sale at Wally World. This particular palette is very neutral and would be excellent for those that don't experiment too much with bright colors but are looking for something highly pigmented and with good staying power.

This doll is soooo amazing. Her hair is several shades of light blue/turqoise and it is long and reaches all the way down to her knees. The very front of her hair is crimped but the back is just straight. Her facepaint/makeup is just stunning. Her lips are a seafoam green and they are just covered in opalescent glitter. Her actual eyes are the best part about this doll. They are glass eyes that are mostly glittery dark blue but have a glittery yellow crescent moon and single star in each eye. As for her eye makeup....her eyelids are covered in a yellow shadow, the crease of her eye is done in blue, and at her browbone is a very light blue. Her eye is covered from top to bottom with tons of sparkly glitter. Her skin is a light green color because ...SHE GLOWS IN THE DARK!!. Sirius SS 77 Aurora Therapy System

I bought product for a few reasons-

firstly, I don't like to use any topical creams or treatments for my skin. I have acne and a good bit of scarring on my face, mainly forehead and cheeks.
I'm a guy and I don't really need an expensive laser treatment item at my house, I read the blue light worked for acne and scarring, so I trusted the other amazing reviewers. And the price was pretty perfect.

I've been struggling with breakouts and bad skin for most of my teenage years, and it feels good to say that within a week of using this product, my face has cleared up and my scarring is quickly fading. It's really amazing, and all I have to do is use this blue light every few days for about 25 minutes. I haven't got to the other lights, but if they work as well as the blue, i'm sure you'll at least see improvement.

The only problem I have with this product is that after a few uses, it would randomly shut off. I'm not sure if I have a defective unit or not, but it hasn't been doing it as much lately, so the problem may be fixed. It does sort of feel like a toy, but it works so I really don't care.

I'm not being paid by this company, but I really believe this is something you should try if you have acne or scarring that doesn't seem to go away.

Jerdon JGL10W Tabletop Two Sided Magnification

I love this mirror! The lights work perfectly, emitting just the right amount of light, and it folds up well allowing for easy storage. I haven't owned a makeup mirror before, however, I have used one regularly and this mirror fits the bill. My makeup looks better after using this mirror to apply it. My bathroom is fairly dark, and it's hard to see if I have rubbed all my foundation in evenly, or applied my eyeliner straight.

I like how the main mirror rotates up, so if I am standing at my counter doing my makeup, I can rotate it up so I don't have to lean so far down to look in the mirror. The unit has a stand on the back with notches so you can adjust how far back you want it to lean. The side mirrors really don't do anything for me, but they are nice to have. When the mirrors fold down, it provides a protective casing for the unit, which makes it easy to travel with. This mirror is built sturdy and is one of the only instances where the actual product looks better then the picture. I am very satisfied with this mirror, and so far it has worked perfectly for me.

I wanted a version of Maygana for my collection. I had to get the steampunk inspired one with the goggles, knowing the hair would be an issue. She looks like me, well, a doll version of me. I have red hair and light blue eyes. I do my makeup the same way with blue eyeshadow and wine lips. I even wear steampunk gear, not to the office, but to steampunk events. I live in a steampunk town, yup, there are such things. This doll looks great. This is a pretty doll. These bratzillaz are longer and leaner than regular Bratz, and they actually have feet!! I find the contrast of her purple hair and her yellow eyes to be a nice overall effect. She has deep purple lips. Her eyes are very lifelike and are set into her head (not painted). I really like how these look. Her eyes are placed in a sideways glance, and this is how all the yasminas look. The style of her hair is intricate. The artwork on the box shows her having four long braids, but in fact she only has two long braids coming down the back and two braids rolled up into buns on her head. I also like her outfit. She wears a purple pleather bustier, covered by a metallic short sleeve shrug. Her cape is tattered looking material which is purple on top with a sheer black layer underneath. Her pants are a very sheer (see through in fact) metallic gold color. She has a mini purple witches hat the exact same color as her hair. She wears tall tan boots. In her hand she has a magnifying glass. It is attached with clear rubber bands. If you take her out of the box carefully you can leave this intact so she will not lose it. She only has one earring. It thought I lost one at first but after reasearching it, I realized she is only supposed to come with one. I really wish she had two. She comes with a stand and a broom shaped brush. My only complaint is that on my particular doll, her hat is smashing her bangs down and off to the side. I have seen some of these where they have a nice intact rolled bang and the hat sits higher on her head. I like that version better. Since I bought it online I couldn't choose and therefore got one with smashed hair. Overall though I still like her and am not dissapointed. A nice addition to my doll collection.

Bratzillaz Doll Jade J Adore

I love Catrine ! I have been playing her dress up game for a while, and was thrilled when she actually came out. She is perfect. I have had good luck with tails, considering ny Jinafires sturdy tail and Catrines not-to-bad tail. It is quite firmly in there. She also has an adorable outfit. I do have a few complaints. There is a reason that her price is going down, and that's because shes starting to come out at walmarts, for only 19.95. When I went to a Walmart near me, they had more Catrines than any other doll. Anoth complaint is that she is not well made. At Walmart there were ones with messy hair, weird makeup, far apart eyes, low mouth, stained cloths, and broken off tails. I got a good one, but one of the eyes is smaller than the other... It's weird, but still cute. All in all, I would recommend this cat to any Torolie, werecat sisters fan.

There is a reason that her price is going down, and that's because shes starting to come out at walmarts, for only 19.95. When I went to a Walmart near me, they had more Catrines than any other doll. Anoth complaint is that she is not well made. At Walmart there were ones with messy hair, weird makeup, far apart eyes, low mouth, stained cloths, and broken off tails. I got a good one, but one of the eyes is smaller than the other... It's weird, but still cute. All in all, I would recommend this cat to any Torolie, werecat sisters fan.

I've used all kinds of mascaras for the last 40 years. High end to that Great Lash everybody raves about. Lately I've liked Urban Decay's Lush Lash which is a good everyday mascara. It's supposed to be infused with peptides that lengthen the growth cycle. Not sure about that. It does the job well enough and doesn't get all black under my eyes. Easy to remove.

Recently I saw some bloggers talking about this and thought it would be fun to try. I have long lashes to begin with and this is mascara from Japan where lashes tend to be shorter and straighter. One of the things I was wary of is that I wear glasses now and the mascaras are always filming my glasses up so that I have to clean them several times a day. I thought longer lashes would be a pain, but as a makeup junkie, trying something new and fun is where I'm at.

I am so impressed. It has fibers, which I thought would be creepy, or might get in my eyes, but the bloggers said no, that doesn't happen. They are right. I curled my lashes first and when I put this on they became even longer AND held their curl like no other mascara. And there is no smearing on the inside of my eyeglasses. No bumping against my glasses. THAT is the best plus to this. I picked this blue color, but I can't say it's a very blue mascara. Looks black to me - when dry.

No black under the eyes either! I will admit it is hard to get off, so I'm going to see if there is a remover made for this mascara.

LONG LONG, holds curl, no raccoon eyes, no fibers in the eyes, no smudging, no clumping. Put it on with the straight edge of the comb first and then use the curved end to separate the lashes. Just amazing. I'm going to try some more from Majolica Majorca and see how the different formulas work. Cute packaging a plus.

Innoxa French Drops Gouttes Bleues

The first thing I noticed when I received this doll is that she looks fantastic! The second thing I noticed is that she is covered with glitter, however, almost no glitter rubbed off onto my hands as I was playing. It is a really stunning effect. Included in this order is a doll and a stand, but no brush. The stand is bright lime green.

Hair: Her hair was cut nicely (not crooked). It had a lot of hair gel in it, but when I brushed it with a brush (not included), it became soft and still looked good. The colours are awesome! The top layer is white with very bright yellow-green highlights, and the bottom layer of hair (which you can only see from the front) is blue and magenta. Her hair doesn't have tinsel in it, even though Abbey dolls usually do. This is the first Abbey doll I've ever bought, but I heard the tinsel usually looks messy, so it's probably a good thing that this doll doesn't come with any.

Face: Her eye makeup is in bright shades of yellow-green and magenta, which might sound a bit overpowering, but I think it looks great. It seems almost tropical, which is funny I guess because she's an ice-monster-thing. Some monster high dolls end up with badly-painted eyes, but hers look great.

Outfit: Looks pretty, the arm with the sleeve was a little bit harder to move than the arm with no sleeve, but this might have been fixed if I had just adjusted the outfit. I took her dress off because I'm going to try it on some of my other monster high dolls - even though it's pretty colourful, it's in a colour combination that I think will look great on a lot of dolls, not just Abbey.

Shoes: The wheels on the roller blades really spin! Very cool!

One last note- Abbey dolls have huge hands! This doll's hands are made of a more flexible plastic which makes me worry that they might break, but having fingers that bend slightly will help her hold onto props.

Vincent Longo Cosmetics Cr%C3%A8me Concealer

I originally got this as a sample with about 6 or 8 different shades. I tried it more on a whim, since I usually collect samples, forget I have them, and they get buried under other samples.

I loved it the moment I tried it on. It went on creamy, hid all my imperfections, didn't look cakey, didn't crease into my fine lines, didn't melt off my oily skin, and stayed on ALL day into night. This is an absolute first for me. I've tried SO MANY concealers, from mineral powders to highlighters, and this is the absolute first that has become the holy grail. Broken capillaries by my nostrils are now even, bags under my eyes are gone, the skin tone match is perfect. I even love the scent, a light vanilla that fades pretty quickly.

My sample had lasted me for over 2 months, and I still haven't hit "pan" yet on the colors I have been using. This is with daily use, which totally justifies the price for me. It's SO good I decided to stop wearing foundation altogether, and let the real me shine through.

Final Fantasy Collectors Edition Playstation 2

I am one of the rare few who found FFXI to be a brilliant game from SE, but many disagree with me because it moved away from the classic style of Final Fantasy's. This game is very different from the typical FF, however I welcomed it with arms wide open. The new battle system allows a player to either take full control of his characters or allow gambits(auto functions) to fight each monster. I absolutely prefer being able to see and choose which monsters I want to fight and this is closely related to FFXI.

This game is absolutely huge, although the story is not the reason for this. THere are so many side quests to do, you will have hours and hours of gameplay. Personally I finished the game in 80 hours, but skipped out on many side events and quests and could have easily hit 100+ hours.

This game is either incredibly hard, or incredibly easy. It depends on how much time you spend on leveling up outside of the normal pace of the story.

Overall this game has a very coloful and enjoyable story, with some minor twists.

With Final Fantasy XII, SE lowered the polygon count and increased the detail of their textures. The graphiccs blow every previos FF out of the water.

Voice acting is extremely good, and looks MUCH better then FFX.

I highly recommend this game.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

I was skeptical, VERY skeptical for months debating whether or not to spend the hefty money on this product. Granted, I had only really ever used drugstore brand eyeshadows, but found myself feeling very stagnant with them and wanted to be a bit adventurous. I am so very glad that I bought this palette! I am not very swift when it comes to blending, and this made it SO easy! All of the colors blend so well and it is almost error-proof. Not to mention that these just glide on so easily. I am so pleased that I just purchased the Naked II palette. These are a great investment for your makeup case and I figured I would have spend well over $50 experimenting and wasting money at the drugstore. I loved the travel sized version of the UD primer and the brush that it comes with is top quality, and I love it to blend and contour the shadows. I am very pleased!

Absolute reading pleasure

Dead Asleep Jamie Freveletti

This is my first read for Jamie Freveletti, but not my last. I immediately was impressed with her leading lady for the series, Emma Caldridge, a chemist who owns a new, struggling business in her field of expertise, but also is a freelance operative for Darkview, a private security group about which I am sure there is lots more to know! It turns out for this story, she acts in both positions!

But that is not surprising since Voodoo was involved!

Actually, it includes much more, but Freveletti does a great job in molding everything together, creating a wild thriller which will keep you involved almost on each page!

Emma was on a search for minerals that would help to reduce the aging process, but quite a number of people were opposed to her activities! First, she's traveled to a remote island that is right in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle...

And the minerals she's looking for are from what is called the blue holes, which is a place that none of the island residents will visit--you got it, there is some type of monster in the holes that pulls boats to the bottom!

Actually, readers never do discover what phenomenon happens--all part of the Bermuda Triangle mystique, of course. But it certainly is something there since we see it capture first the boat on which Emma is working...and then the boat from which a killer is after her!

His name is Joseph--but he's not the first man who chases Emma and that man is a lot more scarier since he's holding a machete, his eyes focus toward the sky, and he can only move if told exactly what to do!And he has a wicked priestess controlling him...

Of course, neither one of these men are the man who is truly responsible for wanting her dead!

Because in addition to using the minerals from the blue holes for makeup, someone has already used the material to make something that is harmful--and mercenaries from all over the world want that new product!

Now if that wasn't enough, let me tell you that this island is inhabited by many very rich people. One of them is a rock musician who purchased the island under a different name in order to enjoy it in seclusion. But when he came to visit Emma, needing her professional help, she was immediately caught off guard...

Having heard the rumors about Rex Rain, she knew they were all into drugs and drinking. But when the leader said he had never seen the powder that was on the table near one of his band members, who had been asleep for over 24 hours, she knew she had to help!

And that was the first individual on the island who was infected...And Emma now had to try to figure out what was causing the sleep...

Because it was spreading!Soon the island was quarantined!

Action packed, but full of potential issues that must be explored--voodoo, drugs, murder, monsters! Wow!

What a tropical paradise to visit!

I loved this one... Such fun to move from one scene to another when you never know what is going to happen next!

The end was almost anti-climatic given the range of high points throughout this gem...But the ending was also quite satisfactory!

Highly recommended!
